New vs. Pre-Own

One choice about buying a car is to buy new or pre-owned.  New cars usually come with more personal choice, lower down payments and better financing if you are buying a car with a proven history.  Pre-owned cars generally require a larger down payment and the financing costs more.

Repair and maintenance costs are an important consideration.  A new car usually comes with three years or more of free repairs and maintenance.  Usually, it does not cost much to double this warranty during the purchase.

If you plan to use the car for business purposes, the newer the car, the more successful you look.  Newer cars are often safer to drive due to modern driver assist packages and have more crash protection.
